A lot of rain....

On Friday (9/3), we started a quiet morning at the Granite Gorge and before we had time to go we fed some Wallabys (which is a smaller variant of kangaroo). 

Positive with the rain period is that you can take a coffe to escape the rain often☕ Here we ended up on a cozy little get somewhere between Granite Gorge and Millaa Millaa😆 

Then the day's adventure continues towards Mt Hypipamee National Park where we planned to spend the night. It's still raining as much as before, even more today! When we finally arrive, we notice that this is not a camping site We've been wrong ... So we eat lunch in the woods rain to then go and watch a Crater as well as Waterfall. With our new purchased umbrella and poncho we get a little less wet at least! ☔ 

A really wow feeling when we arrived at the Cratern, 58m above the water and then 73m from the water surface down to the bottom😱 It's quiet deep! 

Cool waterfall in the rain rain🌊 Dinner falls was called this one! After that we continue our journey in total chaos rain .... It's just getting more and more, we hardly see anything anymore. Continue driving to get to the campsite but turning back to the town of Millaa Millaa to refuel. Hungry, tired and totally soaked in all the clothes we chose to check in at Bed & Breakfast😍 

Absolutely the right choice for this evening for the rain just continued. So pleased, hot and dry, we sleep well at the smallest B & B in this super little town of Millaa Millaa. 

After a quiet and nice morning (great breakfast too!), We'll look at the roads for the day and will be immediately disappointed. Many roads to Townsville are shut off due to flooded roads. Time to plan again, we go on a day trip to some waterfalls The rain has subsided and we have had a nice day with a visit to 4 waterfalls😍 

First waterfall: Pepina falls 

After lunch break in the park near the next waterfall the rain begins to come again a little bit. But it does not stop us from seeing Australia's widest waterfall!! 😃🌊

Dinner breaks in rain under the tailgate like tak😅 It was nice and cozy! Our standard lunches and dinners are now pasta with some sauce (pesto, tomato sauce, mayo) and accessories eg avocado, carrots, tuna, tomato, beans etc. Simple, inexpensive and underestimated because it's good with just a little extra salt on😉 Last waterfall for the day Zillie falls💦 

Today's other favorite waterfalls! 🌟 We finish the day camping (though you may not get hehe) at Millaa Milla Falls🚗 Because we paid a little bit to much money(for our budget) yesterday at the B&B and neither of us had the energy to look up the caravan park in Millaa Millaa😆 But it went well and todays (Sunday 11/3) trip went really well right until Cardwell....
