One of the world's 7 wonders: Barrier Reef

Can you guess what we have done today?

We have been at the Great Barrier reef!!!😍

The day started with check in at 7:30 and then we left the port at 8:30. Then there was safety snack and instructions what to do if for example water enters the mask etc. For this snack you got morning coffee which was amazingly good muffins, mackerel and coffe Since none of me or Max have divibg certification, we did an introduction dive. Which means that you only go down to 10m😄

We went with a company called Silverswift and they were very good! Nice staff and good food👍

Everything that was included in the price, it was worth the money, but our wallets wasn't as happy as we were after this activity😆 After about 1.5h, we arrived at the first stop of the day and we would start diving.

So take on with all the equipment!

Surely we look happy and excited?! 😍 Then it was time to jump in .... Pulse pumps and nervousness rises, I will breathe through this nozzle of 10m deep... 😱 When we all got into the water I was still as nervous. It took a little while before you got into the breathing and after practicing to empty the mask and the mouthpiece on water we were ready. The nervousness drops and we sink deeper, look up to the surface and it feels like a movie😍 It was like being in the Finding Nemo movie! This reef is something out of the ordinary!!

Wow.... It was so beautiful and so cool! Of course, lots of fish, species you've never seen before! 🐠🐟🐡🐚 Both me and Max just enjoyed! Immediately after 30min the dive, we jumped in again and did some snorkeling. When we snorkled we saw a really big fish!!! You know big fish, you only look at pictures that fishermen have caught, imagine one! 😱😍

Sure we look a little happier afterwards? 😉

However, we had expected to see both the turtle and reef sharks because they said it is very common to see this.

We sadly saw only turtles from the boat at stop 2, so nothing in the water which was a bit boring But we had an amazing experience! 🌟 At stop 2 it was also time for lunch, check out this buffet!

Photobreak😉 And since we both were completely in loved, we also bought and made a dive at the last stop😍 So now we were a group of 3 people and 1 instructor. We got more freedom just as we followed him and kept us at the same deep! After the adrenaline rush on the first dive, it was nice to do some more to really enjoy the fish! Still a lot of thought about breathing, pressure etc. But what a world this is! It's so magical and beautiful, I want to live in this underwater world!🐚 We also noticed when you diving, many fishes suddenly think that your one of them is so we had 1 bigger fish swimming just next to us for a while. We also came about 20cm close to two big Nemo fishes😍😱 They looked very curious about us and let us get so close!
